It Ends With Us- Colleen Hoover

I choose you… You are my success.”

This is the second time that I’ve read a Hoover book and your heart breaks along with Lilys.

The subject of this book is a real heavy one and not for the faint of heart. Knowing someone who been through a similar situation makes this hit too close to home. So I felt a bigger personal connection with this one. With every fearful glance, hurtful words and tearful forgiveness… you just wanted to scream for her to run and not think of anything but her happiness.

Lily grew up in a very small town in Maine and told herself that she would move to Boston and lead a life into bigger and better things.

Her dad passed away and was asked to do his eulogy. She gets up to speak and she freezes. The five greatest things about my dad and she stops like a deer in headlights.

Now back in Boston and she goes and hangs out on a rooftop to get fresh air and forget about her day. Then she hears someone come up on the roof and he starts kicking a chair. He doesn’t see her and she tries to stay hidden. Turning around he spots her and it’s naked truth time. They talk and he takes a picture of her. Drop dead gorgeous Ryle is a neurosurgeon and Lily is struck. Her entire body wants what he has to offer and a call doesn’t make that happen.

Months down the road, Lily is about to set up shop and open her own flower business.

After hiring a new employee and twisting her ankle and the new girl calls her brother. And in walks Ryle. When I get that feeling.. I get Sexual Tension… Sexual… Tension baby!!

As the heat rises, flashbacks from her past come back to haunt her. Her abusive dad and now her new boyfriend is one in the same.

And a boy from her past may be the key in saving her life. Just rememberthe name Atlas.

This book is pretty hard to swallow. Abusive relationships go on in the world daily and it never gets easier.

I wished for a different ending of this book, but it was the best outcome for Lily. She needed to be saved and that’s what she got.

Let me make thos clear. No man should ever put his hands on a lady in a harmful way. If I catch you, I’ll kick your ass.

Fair warning my dear readers.

Now go fall in love!
