This book leaves off from the same spot of book 2 which is called glass sword. With mare being shown from the king as a captured person. From there you have no idea if she will be excuted or not. 

This book series started out with the first book absolutely loving it to second I handled it but it dragged this book was a mix of both yes it entertained me Atleast this time when there wasn’t fighting scenes since akways see the Scheming of the royals and what maven is thinking since he absolutely obsesses over mare even seen from book 2. 

What I did like that was added is a few extra POV’s one ehh it was ok to see from diffrent point view but as my friend said didn’t interest her to much I didn’t as much but still cooler to have more views. But there is added one and I loved even others pov was extremely far in between. 

So last touches on this can certain enemies like the king maven or even other known enemies ever change for the better or not. Find out if you read kings cage.
