But went to the city with few friends a few met from NYC signings other from bookcon app but we decided to hit bookoff a thrift store in NYC Thats amazing for discounted books and here was my haul

Before that was the strand and I behaved nicely there and barns and nobles Union square where if ever in NYC go there. Since YA section is unbeatable. But my total purchase for the thrifting was a total of 13 dollars so I’d call that a win.

Lucky In Love- Kasie West

"I am going to buy you candy. For your birthday.

No, that's okay…..

I am. It's to late. He started walking backward to the door. You should tell me your favorite now or I'll come back with my favorite.

Reese's Pieces! I called.

Ah. Like E.T.

I'll be right back. He opened the door and went inside.

E.T. Was that an acronym for something? Extra time? Everything? Eat…… things?"

Just recently read Windfall, I was a tad bit weird to read a second book about a recently turned eighteen year old winning the lottery. But I knew that I was in for fluff and all the cheese you can handle with West.

In this cute story of growing up, winning the lottery, finding yourself and dealing with hardcore instincts, you learn to feel for each character and grow along with them. You will laugh, cry and cheer them on as they learn the rules of life and winning the lottery. Not everyone will have your best interest at heart and will try to get what they want. You just have to learn to trust your gut.

For the first half of the book I kept comparing it to Windfall. I immediately rolled my eyes and pushed through. The enjoyment wasn't there due to the comparison, but so quickly learned that this story had another sweet love story to tell. I'm glad I gave it the chance that it truly deserved.

The characters were very easily lovable and none of it felt over the top fake like some contemporaries. And who doesn't love a good E.T. reference?

Now the real question remains….. what would you do with fifty million dollars?

Don’t Cosplay With My Heart- Cecil Castellucci ~Arc Review~

Peek-a-boo from Louie!

"I'm being weird. Or maybe he's being weird. It was only a weird bubble moment. One that will be forgotten. It probably means nothing at all. The feeling is so nice/horrible/wonderful/terrible/floaty/rotten. My heart is on fire. My heart is exploding. My heart is growing. My heart is shrinking. My heart. Is so confused."

Have you ever been so in love with a cover before that you started to second guess yourself at picking it up? That maybe the cover will be the best thing and the characters might be bland? Well, this is that time.

The cover is stunning. An attention grabber that caught me off guard as I was walking around McCormick place in Chicago. And with nerds to go along with it, I was swooning. That is until I started to read it.

I've never been so disappointed in a cast of characters like I was with this. The connection with them was broken instantly and the relationships seemed more fake than Kim K's backside. Nothing fit together and felt broken as they waltzed across the pages.

Edan is obsessed with Team Tomorrow. Her favorite comic book series, but her favorite character is Gargantua. A ten feet tall badass once a hero and now a villain. When she hears a comic con coming to town she decides to cosplay her way through the event.

While there she meets Kirk, a guy who loves what she loves and has similar feelings towards the world. He's quite the temptation in her relationship with Yuri.

At school she heads SEW, which is a superhero cosplay group and they go to events together as they grow in the cosplay department.

As time goes on and her feelings get crossed and confused. Other parts of her life spiral out of control as her home life gets crazier and her love life is thrown through a loop. What will a girl with zero personality do!?

If you're looking for the cutest story about love, cosplay and comic cons, I suggest picking up The Geeks Guide to Unrequited Love. That story was well planned out and you fall in love with those characters. You'll find none of that with this one.

Get your geek on and sashay away!!

If There’s No Tomorrow- Jennifer L. Armentrout

"What does waiting do? None of us are promised a tomorrow. We learned that, didn't we? We don't always get a later."

Word of advice: Never read this while out in public. I was a complete blubbering, sniffling mess of a person. My heart still aches.

One choice can change your life forever. We never really think about the consequences of life or anything in general while we were teenagers. We thought we ruled the world and could outsmart fate at every corner. And we eventually find out how wrong we were.

Lena has been best friends with Sebastian for a very long time. They have been each other's rock every day. Nothing or no one can come between them… But Lena has been living with something that could ruin their friendship. She has a crush on Sebastian and it's eating her alive. She sees him working out, hanging around other girls and once even dated the most popular girl and jealousy hit an all time high.

Then one night changes her life forever. She makes one mistake and it almost costs her everything. Everything she thought she wanted goes out the window, she can't sleep, eat or function anymore. But her friends are here to help her along the way.

She suddenly feels that her life is over and she deserves nothing but misery. As more memories come back to haunt her, she lets them overtake her mind.
Can Lena find the courage to grow from her mistakes? And maybe get to be with the one guy she loves?

This was a phenomenal book. I cried so ugly at work while reading this. There was no one to talk to about this and I needed to vent and cry some more. Parts of this book were intense and breaks your heart. This book took my breath away and I was honestly speechless. My words can't convey how heavy this was. You'll just have to fall in love and cry right along with the rest of us on release day!

One of us is lying by Karen M. McManus

Publishing house: Delacorte press a imprint of penguin teen

Publishing date: May 30th 2017

Cover rating: 5 stars it’s has good amount get idea what characters look like but still leaves facial features so you can decide how they look.

This book is about 5 students end up in detention 1 is Simon the weird kid who has a gossip blog and not many people like him. Then have the know it all bronwyn, addy the beauty queen and little miss popular, Nate the drug seller of the school & last but not least Cooper the all star pitcher. Just at the end one will not come out alive. That’s what this story is about and trying figure out the case and which one of these people is the killer. To start this book has been sitting on my case for awhile now but Kelpt eyeing it like i did for Rosemarked and fireblood but finally decided to try it out after some friends enjoyed it. I can see why some did since I was saying to Stacy I’m at 308 I’m still fudging stumped who the killer is and book is only 352 pages. Sadly though I’m not one of people who did enjoy it. Felt it was dragging for me only reason I finished I really wanted to know who the killer was and boy was I wrong. Things I liked were this book added some contemporary to it and the book did feel like the breakfast club at parts that’s some of the words used to describe this book. So overall if want a mystery that’s hard to solve but isn’t always the Main part of the book this is for you and feel more will like it than me. 3.5/5 ~~~~~JUSTIN

July wrap up

So for the month of July I did pretty outstanding on reading a ton of books which I did 10 I’ll start from start of month till last read.

1.eliza and her monsters

This book is the book my friends and just all said amazing things for contemporary readers & if you had social anxiety/ introvert it was for you.

2.ringer by Lauren Oliver

This book I was sooo looking forward to after reading replica last year. While replica was boring on lyra’s side this one hit its mark

3.the geeks guide to unrequited love

When started this I was seriously in a need for a contemporary and after much thought finally decided on this. It’s very cute like what if can happen if trying make comic con perfect and at same time wanting to date your best friend for like forever only thing I didn’t like its ending

4.dreadful take of prosperous Redding by Alexandra bracken

Going into this one I was looking foward to just was unsure if I would after passenger series I disliked but loved the darkest minds but I ended up loving this and it’s amazing read for fall and Halloween and highly suggest it.

5.prince In disguise

Going into this book it sounded cute all ready minus the reality tv part. But oh my god it was soooo fluffy cute!!!  I loved it for the most part minus one thing

6.warcross by Marie lu

This game *ahem* mean book was very good and this was my first ever book by her. But highly suggest and gamers should love it.

7.spells and sorcery

Going into this book was finally feeling more of another dose of wanting fall so what better way then going with witches :). This book was mostly training but big time witchy element so I look forward to book 2.

Phew seems like taking forever I read a ton!!!

8. & 9.gunslinger girl & greetings from witness protection

I did these together since photo is of both of them. But gunslinger girl was way western style than I thought and felt more like a carnival book Instead. But overall was ok but wanted more gun action. And greetings from witsec was ok. I give it a pass since was middle grade but I haven’t read a book about someone in witness protection since zach’s lie and read it back in 6th grade and loved it. So if want stories from middle grade and friendship I say this book is for you.

At last my last book read in July also witness protection. Was 10. rules for disappearing.

My second witsec book and I enjoyed this one a lot more since there was a lot more fear and confusion going on and on top of that the guy for mc’s love interest was down right amazing.

So my fav few reads of this month have to say 1. Prince in disguise #2. Alexandra brackens new book #3 warcross #4the geeks guide unrequited love #eliza and her monsters and last rules for disappearing
