Books I plan to try and read in November.

The books I’ll try to read which I’m bad about following. On my personal quest to 100 books I’m at 84 now so 2 months shouldn’t be to hard.

1. I just literally 3 mins ago before making my new cup of java finished vampire academy it had been years to say I actually had truely read the series so I’m glad I did and every book is a 5 star ⭐️

2. Just today bought at the thrift store which I forget if tried to read before or not is the devil wears Prada and about to hop into that after this post and to say the movie oh dear do I love the movie so much it’s like confessions of a shopaholic. That book and movie I like the movie better.

3. Artemis by Andy weir

Can’t wait to read that book since surprising I really enjoyed the mars book which Iv completely stomped on the name but look forward to that.

After these I have no clue what I’ll read but maybe the darkest minds??? Comeback to find out.

My October Wrap-Up

I cannot believe October is just about over! Where is the time going? It feels like it was just summer, but summer always goes by way too fast.

October was a pretty rough month. In the sense that I barely had any time to read. I’ve started Christmas shopping and handmaking gifts for family members. I’ve also been scrambling trying to have everything in order for Nanowrimo. I am beyond excited to start writing my novel tomorrow (I’m one of those people that, yes, waits until November 1 to start their novel, since some people start writing in October, which is not a bad thing).

Even though October has been busy, I have been able to dedicate some time to reading. I managed to finish three books, which for me is not that bad since I am a decently fast reader, I just lack the available time to read.

Rosemarked

The first book I read in October was Rosemarked by Livia Blackburne. My review is coming soon (hopefully in the next couple of days if Nanowrimo does not take control of my life) so keep a look out! This was not a bad read, it just took me a while to get drawn into the setting and plot. I am huge on action scenes, and there was not much in the book, but nonetheless, the main character was strong and brave, and definitely someone I would look up to.

My rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars.

FrostbloodThe second book I finished was Frostblood by Elly Blake. This has been one of my most anticipated books to read and I FINALLY had the chance to read it. I loved this book! I really enjoyed the novel being from Ruby’s point of view, but I also liked the complexity of the book and how the plot kept thickening until the last page. I plan on reading the second book soon (as well as posting my review of Frostblood), especially since I get to meet Elly Blake Sunday. I am super excited to meet her, along with a TON of YA authors and Anderson’s Bookshop YA Frenzy!!

My rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Darkest StarsAnd the final book, which I happened to finish today, was Even the Darkest Stars by Heather Fawcett. Isn’t that cover absolutely stunning?! When I first heard of this book, I had high expectations. Unfortunately, those expectations were not quite met, but I was overall very pleased with the story. The worldbuilding is phenomenal and breathtaking! My full review will be posted in the coming days (along with Rosemarked and Frostblood).

My rating: 4 out of 5 stars

I, unfortunately, did not attend any fun author signings or book events this month, but November is jam-packed with events EVERY WEEKEND. One of those events is YallFest in South Carolina and I am absolutely stoked! I had so much fun at YallFest last year and I know this year is going to be even better!

If you’re attending YallFest,

HAPPY HALLOWEEN! What are you dressing up as tonight? I have school tonight so no dress up for me, but I’d totally dress up as a Witch.

From the USA Today Bestselling author of ‘Truth or Beard’, this is a full-length, 110k word novel is the first book in the Knitting in the City series.

There are three things you need to know about Janie Morris: 1) She is incapable of engaging in a conversation without volunteering TMTI (Too Much Trivial Information), especially when she is unnerved, 2) No one unnerves her more than Quinn Sullivan, and 3) She doesn’t know how to knit.

After losing her boyfriend, apartment, and job in the same day, Janie Morris can’t help wondering what new torment fate has in store. To her utter mortification, Quinn Sullivan- aka Sir McHotpants- witnesses it all then keeps turning up like a pair of shoes you lust after but can’t afford. The last thing she expects is for Quinn- the focus of her slightly, albeit harmless, stalkerish tendencies- to make her an offer she can’t refuse.

Happy Reading!!

October read list

The month isn’t over and may get 1 more book done but I’d figured I’d go over what I read. Which over the period so far have read 9 books. May get to 10 before Wednesday

1.the law of tall girls

Started off the month on contemporary since I had to review for an author. And the book was good i enjoyed it and different since main story for her is she is super tall so hard things for her.

2.renagades by Marissa Meyer

Once you saw that MM was coming out with a new series it’s like a 😲 moment!!! So I was glad to have read it and was good and good super hero book. And Adrian will be a huge fictional bf for many.

3.the school for sidekicks

This book out of many I read for the month was proubly the worst reason why was it had a good plot but the thing going for it was the whole time could never truely figure out who is counted as a good guy/ bad guy minus his mash pot group of friends so it bugged me.

4. Rosemarked

Another Book thru the month I was not fond of yea part of its story is good with trying to figure a cure for rosemarked but just parts sooo truely bugged me but I’ll come again to read book 2.

5-9 vampire academy series.

I re started this series since it’s my absolute fav and I haven’t read it in years. So currently still binging thru the series but if never have read this series I highly 1000 suggest you read it.

Frostbite by richelle mead

Onto book 2. Of my re read.  This book is slowly getting darker for the cast. The worlds changing daily since strigoi are getting smarter with how they attack and who if at all make friends with. Could it be Moroi in the government or humans of the world who are don’t know anything of the vampire world. That I can’t tell you.  And thru the book Lissa and rose slowly learning more to the dark and finally new element called spirt but thing has you is it even worth to learn since as know more you use the more depressed and insane you get.  Plus add in the effect their is a new character in this book and might be cocky as hell but he changes this series big time to be the best it can be. But some things I liked/ loved of this book is the book is getting darker with more deaths in the moroi world and causing fear and panic so made you on the edge of the seat and this book had more of the strigoi factor than book 1 had. And dimka (dinitri) is treating rose more like an adult than a little kid and it’s quite refreshing even though rose is a kick butt women but she can get bratty. Other thing the new character in the book yea a bad influence but deep down he makes for a rock star character and enjoyed them a lot. But over all richelle has made this world slightly dark and more vamp like which I enjoy so 5/5 stars.

Unboxing: Surprise Book Mail from Entangled Teen

I came home yesterday afternoon after a long day of work and noticed a package sitting on the front porch of my house. It was addressed to me from Entangled Teen. I was not expecting anything from this amazing publishing company, so this surprise package definitely peaked my interest. And I absolutely fell in love with everything inside. Everything inside this mystery box is to celebrate the upcoming release of Haven by Mary Lindsey, which hits bookstores November 7. Haven has been on my upcoming TBR list for months, so I was beyond thrilled to receive this Haven package from Entangled Teen!

FullSizeRender (1)

The first item inside the box was a hardcover edition of Haven by Mary Lindsey. Haven is the first book in a new Young Adult Paranormal series. Check out the summary below:

Haven

“We all hold a beast inside. The only difference is what form it takes when freed.”

Rain Ryland has never belonged anywhere, He’s used to people judging him for his rough background, his intimidating size, and now, his orphan status. He’s always been on the outside, looking in, and he’s fine with that. Until he moves to New Wurzburg and meets Friederike Burkhart.

Freddie isn’t like normal teen girls, though. And someone wants her dead for it. Freddie warns he’d better stay far away if he wants to stay alive, but Rain’s never been good at running from trouble. For the first time, Rain has something worth fighting for, worth living for. Worth dying for.

Doesn’t this book sound amazing?! I definitely think so! Paranormal is one of my top genres for Young Adult, and if Paranormal is one of yours, too, you are not going to want to miss out on this book!

The second item in the box was a Haven themed tote bag. I am a huge lover of tote bags, and this beautiful tote bag will be joining my ever-growing collection of bookish-themed bags.

Another surprise item was a Haven themed coffee mug. I love coffee and tea so this mug will definitely not go to waste. The coffee mug is gorgeous and a perfect addition to my collection! I especially love the quote!

Also inside the box was some awesome wolf themed items! A stunningly beautiful wolf charm bookmark, one of my absolutely favorite items from this surprise box. Wolves are one of my favorite animals, and the charm is a perfect fit for me (and my Siberian Husky) so this charm will most likely be going with me wherever I go. Also with the wolf charm came two stickers: a wolf and Haven sticker. Anyone who knows me knows that stickers are one of my top bookish items (along with bookmarks, postcards, and maps) to collect. A small bag of lavender was also included in this box, which has such an amazing smell!

The last items in the box were an “I’m a Book Nerd” poster, an Entangled Teen portable charger outlet (thank you so much for this!)  and two Godiva chocolate (SUCH GOOD CHOCOLATE!!). I love the poster because it is completely true! The fact that books take up almost two/thirds of my room says enough. As I like to think, my life is not complete unless I am surrounded by books.

Thank you, Entangled Teen for such an awesome surprise box! I am beyond excited to start reading Haven by Mary Lindsey and I cannot wait to put that Haven coffee mug to use!

Haven by Mary Lindsey comes out on November 7, 2017. And if you pre-order, there is an AMAZING pre-order campaign! Check out the campaign here.

Vampire academy by richelle mead

Ahhh going back to this book is pure heaven!!! Anyone who knows me knows I love love love this series it’s my all time fav with its side series. I literally bugged and bugged Stacy to read it and I did have a fun not in mean way hissy fit. I was like WHAT?!?!!? You have never read her!!! So glad she enjoyed it and wasn’t like Harry Potter which I know she doesn’t like. But yea I’ll go back to being me in a second but this book I’ll let the photo say what it is about since I know could say so much.

Crazy how many memories this book has for me since read it back in high school and guess I enjoyed it since back then I liked things that were going on meaning high school my self so could relate. Now reading it again (I don’t know how many times at all but it’s a lot) I didn’t like that aspect but it’s because I’m a tad older but its darkerish theme with the magical aspect I still enjoy, plus who doesn’t enjoy a bit of unacceptable love ship. Other thing going was how bad ass rose hathaway is, during the times it came out YA still fringe aspects so I don’t know if female who happened to be strong heroism was as big but I’m trying to go by memory since back then I didn’t know a lot about the YA world even though read its books like after va was twilight, before that was a ton of hp re reads, holes, and zach’s lie. I can remember what else had read minus speak freshman year. And last thing I love going now back then I didn’t know books came out once a year we didn’t have good reads to tell us or even Facebook and it’s book groups. So I just walked into a book store and I’d see it and I’d fall hand over heals dancing plus it was my group of friends mall trip with out going to borders and yes you heard right borders. So I’m slowly going thru the series I’m 65-70% done wit frostbite and reminds me as series goes on how much I love this series & a reminder of it I have the tattoo’s from the series tattooed on my neck like in the series.

And that will be one tattoo I’ll never ever regret. So thru the days follow along as I read the series. 5/5 and that will never ever change ~~~~JUSTIN
