I forgot that I had received this book at Book Expo in NY last year. Digging through my tbr closet full of books makes me discover gems that I have forgotten all about. As I’m digging through hundreds of books, this beauty was staring straight up at me and I couldn’t resist. Why am I the last person to read such wonderous books? It’s also a strange coincidence that I’ve read and finished this during Mardi Gras! I’m feeling a tad bit lucky! Bring forth the King cake!

I’m one of those saps that will forever believe in love at first sight, be it a person or the first page of a book. This is how this book was for me. I was smitten from the beginning and I feel the same way now after finishing it. The story inside was truly as beautiful as the outside of this book. It was absolutely stunning.

And now let’s get down to the real reason why I’m gushing over this….. Is it possible to have two book boyfriends at the same time from the same book? Let me tell you! It is so possible and it just happened. I don’t care how big of a douche bag they both are but Remy and Auguste are it. I’d ship both of them at the same time! But we know me, I like rule breakers and assholes. I definitely need someone who can keep up. *swoon*

Everything about this book was highly addicting. The writing style was superb and it flowed together beautifully. Things were a lot darker than we all could have imagined and it was mind-blowing. You will savor every part of this book!
