*Arc Review* People Like us- Dana Mele

“Resilient is the wrong word for someone who attracts tragedy like a magnet but survives to watch her loved ones die.”

I finished this book in less than a day and I’m not ashamed. I instantly immersed myself into the world of Bates Academy where girls are mean and everyone has skeletons hiding in their closets. And I loved every page of this.

My mind is working overtime with that ending. It was a continual shock, just one after another and they just kept coming. The shock that came with those last few chapters had me reminiscing about the end of Behind Her Eyes and we all know how that ending shook the world.

Every single part of this is exactly what I want in a book. It was different, mysterious, and even a little saucy. Everything was spaced perfectly, the character development was superb, the scenery was to die for, and this psychological thriller had me guessing right up until the end. My mind is still working a mile a minute even after all this time has passed.

I’m grateful for picking this up. I can’t wait to see what Dana pulls out of her magic hat next time. All I know is that I won’t be disappointed and neither will you.

Just be careful who you place your trust in!

There is nothing better than a great cup of coffee and an even better book.
