“Sometimes we’re not who we want to be because we’re supposed to be something else.”
I’m extremely grateful to Harlequin Teen for sending me a galley of this. Opinion is my own!!
I’m hoping that we don’t have to wait too long for book two. With an ending like this, I’m going to lose my mind and sleep with wonder. My jaw hit the floor many times while reading this one and I’m sure all of you had the same reactions. This book is that amazing!
What drew me in first was the cast of shady characters who were all dealing with sin in one way or another. How they all fed off of each other to gain strength to their own stories. It was brilliant.
The scene building was incredible. Writing about an area where gangs rule over one another in a Vegas-like place is no easy feat and Amanda pulls it off flawlessly. It still gives me goosebumps.
Love is not a strong enough word for how this book made me feel. It was richly mesmerizing and I can’t wait to hold a finished copy in my hands. It was beautiful!
My only problem was the made-up curse words. They were annoying. It was like when your phone autocorrects fuck to duck and you want to throw your phone into a pond. It was that frustrating. Can we please not go there anymore? Please!!?
Let’s get into the real squeal-worthy deal. One of my besties is in this book! His name is there plain as day and I couldn’t be happier for him!! Way to go, Justin!!
Would you bet your life for a chance to survive Sin City?
