My Review

“There’s nothing we can do other than live with the promise of tomorrow while knowing it may not come.”

Why? Ugh! Why do I always do this? I meet a fantastic author, have my book signed and personalized, get home, put it in the book closet, and forget that I even own it. This happens too much and I’m missing out on some of my most favorite reads. Someone help me!

The Darkest Star is a new series set in the Lux Universe. She brings back some fan-favorite characters from that series and lets us meet some new faces. Everyone who enjoys JLA and a great paranormal romance will easily fall in love with the Origin Series.

We all know that JLA is the Queen of the paranormal romance world and at creating the perfect bookish boyfriends. She really shows her depth with this story and her immense creativity throughout. There’s something special and magical about the words she puts to paper because I was enamored by them.

I hate to be simple and basic but this was just so damn good. I mean, too damn good for my little brain to fully comprehend the beauty and complexities of this book. Words escape me on how to describe my love for this one. And to just clarify, I haven’t read the Lux Series yet (Oh, hush! I’m going to get to it soon!) I’m just in love!

The Darkest Star is an amazing start to a series that I know that I’ll become infatuated with. JLA knows how to suck the reader into the plot-line at just the right moment and this is how I’ll fall down the Lux rabbit hole. This is seriously JLA at her finest!!

There is nothing better than a great cup of coffee and an even better book.
