Jade and Tomas move in next door to Emma. Jade tries to befriend her new next-door neighbor but soon finds herself wishing that she hadn’t. At first, she thought that she could trust and confide in Emma but she finds out very quickly that things took a different turn. She thinks something is happening between her husband and her blonde next-door neighbor, Emma. She spots them together at Emma’s Dentistry practice and that sets her mind into motion. She has accused her husband of cheating before and he’s denied ever being unfaithful. Maybe this time he’s lying.

Jade is consumed by the thoughts of her husband, Tomas, and her next-door neighbor, Emma having an affair. It’s all she can think about as she stalks her husband and lies about where she is going. Then she gets a brilliant idea. An idea so brilliant that it’ll throw a wrench in the plans she thinks that Tomas and Emma have. She’ll make them both pay for being unfaithful…..

Okay. Wow! My mind is still reeling after finishing this book. It starts off with this nice and sweet moment of moving into a new home with the one you love and instantly turning into something very dreadful and terrifying. It turns on you very quickly that you don’t have time to fully process what you have just witnessed. Things go from crazy to insane within an instant. I never saw any of this coming and I was left shocked. My mind is still blown at how this all played out.

My Darling was pure insanity and I absolutely loved it. I walked into this with that new author feeling but it ended with me feeling the comfort of reading a favorite. This reminded me of something B.A. Paris would write and now I can’t wait to read other books by this author. If you read one domestic thriller this year, make it this one. You won’t regret it!!
