Welcome to First Line Friday where we share the first line in a book.
I’m going to be doing teasers for upcoming books and our book this Friday is The Strange Fascinations of Noah Hypnotik by David Arnold.
“I’ll hold my breath and tell you what I mean: I first discoverd the Fading Girl two months and two days ago, soon after summer began dripping its smugly sunny smile all over the place.”
Synopsis:
This is Noah Oakman → sixteen, Bowie believer, concise historian, disillusioned swimmer, son, brother, friend.
Then Noah → gets hypnotized.
Now Noah → sees changes—inexplicable scars, odd behaviors, rewritten histories—in all those around him. All except his Strange Fascinations . . .

I’ve read parts of Mosquitoland and all of the second novel but this one caught me instantly. Plus I love David Bowie

I loved the David Bowie stuff throughout the book.

Bowie is a personal hero of mine and this one was perfect to me. I just finished my graphic quotes for the tour on Tuesday.
